An overview of dynamics testing of Mars Pathfinder for the martian landing environment
The challenges for the Mars Pathfinder spacecraft dynamics test program posed by the use of an airbag landing system are examined. Drop tests carried out on full-scale prototype airbag systems under Martian ambient conditions are reviewed. (AIAA)
