NHS breast screening programme : is the high incidence of interval cancers inevitable ?

Asbury et al report how the occurrence of true interval breast cancers varies with time from screening. Shortening the screening interval in the UK's NHS breast screening program is the only way to reduce the number of true interval cancers.
