Renal sympathetic nerve activity (RSNA) responses to acute cardiac tamponade were studied in conscious rabbits with all reflexes intact (Int) or after either surgical sinoaortic denervation (SAD) or administration of intrapericardial procaine (ip-Pro) or intravenous procaine (iv-Pro).
