Summary:UV based coating is becoming very popular technique to impart smooth finish for carton based packaging applications. But on the side pasting, the adhesives are unable to impart maximum adhesion due to UV coating on it. To avoid the problem, a grinder was used to make the side pasting more functional. Aim of this paper is to find out the influence of grinder on adhesion of side paster for carton based packaging applications. This will help printers to compare the adhesion strength of mono carton before and after applying grinding mechanism.
