Summary:To investigate the factors contributing to the withdrawal from treatment in neonates with respiratory failure. The medical data of 2 525 neonates with respiratory failure were retrospectively studied, who were reported in 30 hospitals of Jiangsu Province from January to December, 2019. According to whether a complete treatment was given, they were divided into a complete treatment group with 2 162 neonates and a withdrawal group with 363 neonates. A multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the factors contributing to the withdrawal from treatment in neonates with respiratory failure. The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that small-for-gestational-age birth, congenital abnormality, gestational age < 28 weeks, living in the rural area or county-level city, and maternal age < 25 years were risk factors for the withdrawal from treatment in neonates with respiratory failure ( < 0.05), while a higher 5-minute Apgar score and cesarean section were protective factors ( < 0.05)
