Summary:Data from published literature are submitted together with findings from the author's studies on the condition of lipid peroxidation (LPO) and antioxidant system (AOS) in those patients with heart failure (HF) complicated by symptomatic arterial hypertension against the background of chronic pyelonephritis. All groups patients demonstrated activation of LPO processes and depression of AOS. The use of thiotriazoline and adaptogens was found to return LPO processes back to normal.
