Summary:Rickettsial infection may cause severe systemic disease. The ocular manifestations of rickettsial infection may include sub-conjunctival hemorrhages, corneal abscesses, uveitis, optic nerve head edema, retinal vasculitis hemorrhages and infiltrates and endophthalmitis. Ocular complications may result in significant visual loss. Ocular manifestations may precede other systemic signs and symptoms and assist in clinical diagnosis. This report describes two cases with ocular involvement of rickettsial disease.
