Summary:In the years 1990-1991 the authors performed an antropometric examination in children (total 153) from the district of Trnava. The antropometric examination consisted of the cefalometric minimum composed of 10 parameters of neurocranium and splanchnocranium. The acquired results were compared with dates which originated in the period preceding the last two decades. In the group of children from the Trnava district it was discovered that the cephalic index had been reduced. The authors supposed that the positioning of infants during the first month of life to affect the configuration of the head. (Tab. 8, Fig. 1, Ref. 14.)
