Causes of unfavorable outcome of surgical treatment of injuries of the menisci of the knee joint

The results of meniscetomy in 480 patients are analysed. Late results were folowed up in 435 of them. Poor issues were noted in 19 cases (4.4%). The main causes of failure were as follows: a delayed and inadequately radical surgery.
