Summary:Fifty-two patients with algodysmenorrhea aged 12-16 years were examined with the help of clinical, psychopathologic and psychologic techniques. The author identified the syndrome of fear (n = 22), as well as depressive dysthymic (n = 18) and senestopathic-hypochondriac (n = 12) syndromes. Clinical variability of borderline disturbances largely depended on such premorbid personality characteristics of patients as elevated affective excitability, irritability, emotional lability, anxiety and sensitivity.
