Summary:Analysis of 650 case histories with the erosive ulcerative lichen ruber planus has revealed the specific features of the course of this condition: subjects aged 40-70 (90.5%) women more often than men (64%), suffer from this disease. Solitary foci (in 84%) are usually localized on the buccal mucosa. Concomitant diseases are very often: gastrointestinal conditions in 51% of patients, dental abnormalities in 34%. The disease should be differentiated from erosive leukoplakia, exfoliative cheilitis, etc. Tigason therapy has been found the most effective for this condition.
