Summary:Hidradenitis suppurativa is a cutaneous disease of peculiar localization, related to the presence of apocrine glands. It results from the obstruction of the glandular follicle with subsequent rupture and local infection. The evolution uses to be prolonged and follows progressive course if not adequately treated. The therapeutic options have not been standardized yet. This study aims to analyze the therapeutic procedures applied in 32 patients of the University Hospital of São Paulo. Concerning to localization, 75% of the lesions were perianal, followed by a similar incidence at axillary and inguino-perineal regions. Considering the recurrence index and evolution of the disease we came to the conclusion that the surgical treatment produced the best results.
