Summary:In the Ukraine x-ray examinations have been in use since 1902. Main development of roentgenology service are presented: organization of x-ray rooms and training of their personnel, foundation of science research institutes in Kharkiv, Kiev, Odessa, chairs of roentgenology at medical institutes and advanced training institutes for doctors. Results of research activities of ukrainian scientists for the period till 1941 are briefly enumerated.
