Summary:Redistribution of cells according to the ploidy levels permits studying kinetics of cell transitions from the state of mitotic rest to proliferation during the organ regeneration. In the first generation cycle about 95% of cells which accepted a proliferative stimulus leave the G0-phase and then, having completed DNA synthesis, some of them enter mitosis and some are blocked in the G2 phase. About 20% of cells which divide during the second mitosis are the "G2-population" formed after the first cycle.
