Summary:The manifestations of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) are common in the head and neck and include opportunistic infections, malignancies and diffuse reactive adenopathy. This article reviews the usual and unusual manifestation of AIDS affections of the parotid gland, sinonasal and oral cavity, nasopharynx, temporal bone and neck as analysed by different methods of imaging, particularly by computed tomography.
