Summary:The effect of pyrazole (360 mg/kg, intraperitoneally) on the levels of lipid fractions was studied in the rat liver and brain. There were no differences in hepatic lipid levels after administration of pyrazole alone and in combination with ethanol (20% solution, 1 g/ kg body weight, intragastrically). Pyrazole alone or in combination with alcohol elevates the concentrations of cholesterol, total phospholipids, phosphatidylethanolamine, and cerebrosides III, reduces the levels of sphingomyelin and cardiolipin.
