Summary:The reviewed form of epilepsy showed such major manifestations as rare focal seizures with elementary symptomatology, a focus of sharp waves on the EEG in the rolandic area, a benign course and disappearance of disease symptoms in the pubertal period. It is emphasized that early recognition of this form of epilepsy will help to prevent undesirable psychoemotional and behavioural disturbances resulting not from the disease itself but from those incorrect social attitudes which often accompany the diagnosis of epilepsy.
