Summary:The adequate development of immunization programs deals with the problem of obtaining a good vaccination coverage, an essential aspect for the control and eradication of the disease in the population. One way of facing this deals with the implementation of coercion measures. The present paper analyzes Spanish legislation in force with regards to the possibility of applying compulsory vaccination programme in the general population and in specific subgroups.
