Summary:This study aims to (1) find out the process of developing the module based on the smash book by pop up with polyhedron’ subject matter. (2) find out the validity and practicality of the module based on the smash book by pop up with polyhedron’ subject matter. (3) find out the effectivity of using a smash book based module with a pop-up to improve student learning outcomes. The type of research used in this study is research and development (RnD) with a 4D (define, design, develop and disseminate) development model. The subject for this study is 8th-grade students of Junior High School 20 Surakarta in the academic year of 2018/2019. The instruments used included questionnaires on the validity of learning modules given to material experts and media experts, teacher and student response questionnaires to learning modules to determine the practicality of the module, and test learning outcomes to determine module effectiveness. The learning module is validated by material expert lecturers, teachers and layouters as media experts. The module is said to be valid and practical if all aspects are minimally in good category. The results of this study indicate that the quality of the module in terms of material aspects and media are in good categories. The response of teachers and students in good categories effectively improves the students learning the outcome.
