Gold therapy in rheumatoid arthritis

During the period 1971-1979, 114 patients with rheumatoid arthritis attending the arthritis clinics at Groote Schuur Hospital and Princess Alice Orthopaedic Hospital were treated with gold sodium aurothiomalate (Myocrisin).
