Summary:Different new esters of 5-aryl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-ylcarbazic acid and dithiocarbazic acid were prepared. In addition, the synthesis of 2-(N,N'-dialkylcarboxy)hydrazino-5-aryl-1,3,4-thiadiazoles is described. IR and NMR data of the new compounds are discussed. Some of these compounds showed a reasonable activity against Gram positive bacteria and fungi.
