Summary:We report the case of a woman, age 65 years, who was admitted to our hospital for intense abdominal pain. Hemoglobin was 9.7 g/100 ml and computed tomography (CT) confirmed the hemorrhagic state showing intraperitoneal blood. After laparotomy a ruptured aneurysm of the left gastroepiploic artery was diagnosed. Ligation of the artery was performed with good results. This case is reported because the situs of this aneurysm is very rare.
