Summary:A polyacrylate with a derivative of carbazole as side chain was prepared by monomer synthesis and free radical polymerization. The derivatives of carbazole acted as either photoconductive reagents or electrooptic chromophores. A photorefractive film with high phase stability was fabricated based on the composite of the polyacrylate and 2,4,7-trinitrofluorenone (TNF) with a ratio of 99.8:0.2 wt.%. The film exhibited photorefractive effect with a method of two-beam coupling (TBC) experiments.
