Summary:A method of designing the soundproofing jacket for mechanisms for pneumatic weaving of complex fibres as a nonhermetic screen with process openings is confirmed by the results of experimental studies. The design of the soundproofing jacket with a coating of VD-17-58 vibration-damping mastic allowed reducing the sound pressure level by 14-15 dB (sound level by 5-6 dBA). The sound-absorbing layer of synthetic carpet decreases the noise by an additional 8-10 dB, and incorporation of additional polyurethane foam sound absorbers allowed reducing the noise level to the health standards.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
