Summary: | The Tai Chi Cultural Center was founded by the husband-and-wife team of [Martin Lee, Ph.D.] and Emily Lee, both of whom are tai chi masters and disciples of tai chi and pa kua Grand Master Kuo Lien-Ying. The center is dedicated to helping people achieve better health, healing, happiness and harmony. According to the line, the Lees' cumulative experience in study, teaching and practice have earned them renown for their knowledge and instruction of tai chi and meditation. The Learning Institute's curricula, offered as a series of classes rather than as single lectures, feature progressive levels of instruction on a single subject or several one-class sessions of related topics. The wellness roster includes a list that could leave fitness buffs breathless. Each cruise features an array of seminars and classes on aerobics, body sculpting, cardio ki-bo, circuit training, detox for life, eat more to weigh less, healthy abs and back, pathway to yoga, pilates, step aerobics, stretch and relax, and sunrise power walk. There even are classes on advances in medicine, alternative medicine, adult/infant CPR, men's health, and yoga. If you prefer exercise via dance, try African, ballet, ballroom, disco, flamenco, Hawaiian, jazz, salsa, samba, swing, tango and tap. [Crystal] is not alone in riding the wave of wellness. Many lines offer fitness opportunities, some of them at even quite affordable rates. Carnival Cruise Line's Pride, for example, sails a seven-day Mexican Riviera cruise on Nov. 22 from Los Angeles that features Sheila Cluff, a leading fitness expert and owner of the Oaks at Ojai and the Palms in Palm Springs, Calif. Cluff and her team of fitness, weight-loss, wellness and beauty professionals will lead morning deck walks, aerobics classes, and fitness and nutrition workshops on board. |
