Summary:Used data collected from a worldwide survey of harassment in the active-duty US military. The scientifically selected sample included over 10000 working military women. 4 general types of negative psychosocial reactions were: productivity problems; attitudes toward the organization; emotional reactions; and relations with family. Analyses explored the relations of these reactions to characteristics of the harassing behavior; of the victim; of the organizational climate in which the harassment took place; and the victim's coping responses.
