Summary:Polyacetal hydrogel was obtained by radical polymerization of telechelic poly (1, 3 dioxolane) (PDXL). The synthesis and characterization of the network were discussed. The analysis of the swelling behavior of the hydrogel is investigated in different solvents such as THF and CH2Cl2. Viscoelastic properties are determined by rheological measurements for both swollen and unswollen gel for the purpose of comparison. Through these measurements, the dynamic storage and the loss moduli G[ and G[ are examined in both the steady shear and oscillatory experiments. The results indicate that the hydrogel exhibits highly elastic behavior.
