Summary:In this paper, the authors present a system for electrical energy monitoring on medium voltage. The system is designed to monitor power quality of medium voltage Schneider cells which serve for energy distribution to the Lafarge Cement Targu Jiu plant technological lines. The 14th Schneider cells are monitored via SEPAM2000+ relays. Sepam relays data is transmitted via a Modbus network and a gateway to the plant Ethernet network. The data is then collected and processed by a primary sewer naming Windows 7 SP1, a database engine SQL Sewer 2008 R2 SP1, by the energy monitoring program StruxureWare Power Monitoring 7.0. The application has an integrated Web server which allows visualization of the electrical parameters from any point of the plant Ethernet network and, in addition, enables quality energy reports from the Server. The system performance was conducted by Schneider Electric following Lafarge electrical standard specifications according to the equipment installed in the plant.
