Summary: | The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of online mathematics learning, student responses to online mathematics learning, and the obstacles faced by students in learning mathematics through google classroom on the set material. The research subjects consisted of one mathematics teacher and three seventh grade students of SMP N 1 Purwodadi. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The validity of this research data using source triangulation. The results of this study indicate: 1) The online mathematics learning process through google classroom on the set material in class VII SMP N I Purwodadi includes three activities, namely preliminary, core, and closing. Preliminary activities are delivered through the whatsapp group, the teacher greets, greets students, and instructs students to make attendance. In the core activity, the teacher conveys material in the form of videos that are uploaded to the forum feature in Google Classroom. In addition to delivering material, the teacher also gives assignments to students through the forum feature in Google Classroom. Students access the material and assignments given, do the assignments and then upload the assignments on the assignments feature in Google Classroom. In the closing activity the teacher reflects or draws conclusions on the material that has been delivered, gives assignments or post tests, and says hello. 2). Student responses to the implementation of online mathematics learning through Google Classroom are seen from attendance, clarity of material, and application use. On student attendance, as many as 20 out of 40 students filled online learning attendance. On the clarity of the material, students already feel clear in studying the material, although there are those who argue that the material is clearer if it is explained directly. The use of the application is very easy and effective to collect assignments. 3) Constraints in learning mathematics online through google classroom, less efficient in delivering material without explanation from the teacher, obstacles in understanding new material, obstacles in sending assignments for early use of applications, ownership of quotas and cellphones, network instability. |
