Simple syllables in Nxa?amxcin
Czaykowska-Higgins and Willett provide a series of arguments which suggest that maximal size and shape of the syllable in Nxa?amxcin is of the form of CVC and that in a word like Nxa?amxcin scilksq't only a portion fits into the maximal syllable.
