Summary:To know the urban location & the characteristics the spaces designed for a specific social activity contributes to understand its function in the city & the relations established with the other activities & social estates. Starting off of this idea, the spaces for "classical music," understood like results of the interactions between the music & the estates of the political and/or economic power that have promoted them in the modern western city, are analyzed in the article. It is not purpose of the article to make a history of the appearance & urban meaning of the spaces for music, if not to study those that are assumption new ways to understand the relation art-power in the public space.
