Summary:Based on singular value decomposition and primal-dual interior method, a new method to obtain static voltage stability margin of AC/DC power systems is proposed. Taking into consideration the control equations and network equations of DC system, the instability points and sensitivity indicators are calculated based on Jacobi matrix and its left/right eigenvectors. Then system stability margin is analysed based on primal-dual interior-point algorithm and reactive power compensation is executed on the weak nodes to improve the overall stability margin. The simulation results of IEEE-30 show the effectiveness of the strategy.
