Summary:The effect of colchicine and vinblastine on collagenase, lysyl oxidase and prolyl hydroxylase activities as well as on collagen cross-linking and types of this protein in bleomycin induced lung fibrosis in rats was investigated. Both colchicine and vinblastine diminish bleomycin-induced changes in the above-mentioned enzyme activities as well as collagen cross-linking and normalize type I/type III collagen ratio.
