THE INFLUENCE OF RESIDUAL STRESSES AND STRESS CORROSION ON THE RELIABILITY OF WELDED JOINTS OF THE ALLOY ALZN(4)MG(2)

This paper shows the results of experimental research of residual stresses on the alloy AlZn4Mg2 on a sample 5 mm thick clinched in the tool on weld locations 25 mm and 75 mm from the weld axis. Gunnert's method of researches has been used. The influence of the stress corrosion in the sea water...

Summary:This paper shows the results of experimental research of residual stresses on the alloy AlZn4Mg2 on a sample 5 mm thick clinched in the tool on weld locations 25 mm and 75 mm from the weld axis. Gunnert's method of researches has been used. The influence of the stress corrosion in the sea water as a medium has been determined experimentally on the same alloy for 20 months period on the series on samples loaded in range from 0,4R(0,2), 0,6R(0,2), 0,8R(0,2), R(0,2).
