A Hospital that Treats the Human Being: Not Just the Disease

With the aim of providing service to humanity, the hospital (THE MAHARAJ SAWAN SINGH CHARITABLE HOSPITAL) is borne of love in 1986 whose mortar was mixed with the sweat of loving service. The hospital in present was not first effort of charity. Before it a small charitable hospital with this was established in the colony (Radha Swami Satsang Beas) in 1958. After some time the present hospital came into existence. With the capacity of 300 beds which can be expand up to 500 beds the hospital is completely provides free treatment and serve the common man as VIP. The spirit of service (seva) motivate the dera hospitals in other medical services like blood bank ,eye camps and treatment of diseases those are common in that area as the hospital is situated near the road so accident cases are also the major concern. This hospital is serving a huge number of patients per year with love. All the patients get treatment here free of cost this hospital is the combination of no cost and high quality. Not only this hospital but also all the hospitals of medical relief society serve with love. Through the management point of view, its management has become the centre of clock. In this case study, we are going to discuss that how they are providing full satisfaction to all the patients as well as staff/sevadars,how they dealt with different problems like illiterate patients medical record keeping and all major concerns like hot weather, cleanliness ,proper utilization of energy resources , how to retain staff, biomedical waste etc. Also this hospital proved again that efficiency, effectiveness, quality not only based on luxurious infrastructure, but also on commitment, dedication and meditation. Therefore in healthcare world we need such kind of attitude towards patients as well as community. Only humanity and love with patients in real life during treatment will make a significant change for service provider. Further we will be discussing in case study.
