[...]of using EPA Method 24, the formulator or end-user will likely over-report VOC content of these types of fluids. Initial testing of EPA 24 by AQMD indicated that semi-volatile fluids displayed very poor repeatability and, thus was not a reliable test method for VOC determination. Since the ASTM method is a weight loss over time, any volatile material will be defined as VOC. |
