Summary:The fact that higher aquatic plants can serve as a substrate for crystallization of minerals and can accumulate water borne and airborne suspended material was established by methods of electron microscopy. Identification of minerals in higher aquatic plants of the Ivan'kovo Reservoir and determination of their origin was shown to be a necessity for estimating the degree of dissolution of minerals after the autumn dying of macrophytes.
