청각장애학생의 과정별 학교교육 상황에 대한 종단적 사례 연구

일반학교에 통합되어 있는 청각장애학생은 낮은 학업 성취도와 의사소통 한계에 대한 갈등, 원만하지 못한 교우관계 등 여러 면에서 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이와 같은 현상은 학년이 올라갈수록 더욱 심화된다. 따라서 통합교육 환경에 배치된 청각장애학생의 학교생활 적응은 평균 이상의 학업성취, 원만한 의사소통 능력 등을 요구하게 된다. 본 연구의 참여자는 유치부 과정부터 중학교까지는 특수학교에 재학하였고, 그 이후에 인문계 고등학교로 통합교육을 선택하여 고등학교 3년 과정을 마친 후, 현재 D대학교 특수교육과 1학년에 재학 중이다. 특수학교와 일반학교를 거쳐 현재 대학에서 교육을 받고 있는 청각장애학생의 학교교육 과정에 나타난 적응상의 문제를 종단적 사례 연구를 통해 알아보고자 하였다. 이 연구를 통해 얻어진 주요 결론은 어려서부터 책 읽기를 생활화하여 문장력·독해력의 기틀을 마련한 후 자기 주도적인 학습을 할 수 있었던 것이 가장 큰 성공의 열쇠였으며, 삶에 대한 목표 의식이 뚜렷하고 장래에 무엇이 되겠다고 하는 확고한 신념 아래 꾸준히 자기계발을 한 것이 현재의 그를 있게 한 원동력이라 하겠다. Students with hearing impairment who are included regular school faced many difficulties in academy achievement, limitation of communication with other students, and poor at relation to a school fellow and so on. Such a phenomenon is that the more they are grade up, the more further they become. Therefore, It require for students with hearing impairment who are included regular education environment to adapt the school to be over average academy achievement, good communication competence and so forth. The participant of this study, who had gone to special school from kindergarten to middle school, and then had gone to regular high school, completing regular high school, present is attending at department of special education, freshman, D university. The aims of this study is to reveal difficulties in adaption to school curriculum be faced to student with hearing impairment who is going D university via special education and regular school through longitudinal case study. The conclusion of this study showed that after brought up the sentence·reading ability through the habit of reading book from in young days, what self initiative learning can be done make one to be key of success, and ongoing self development under the confirmatory belief about what to be make one to be succeed as well.
