AIGC와 하위문화의 확장 – 의례를 통한 저항을 중심으로

하위문화는 의식적 저항과 계급 투쟁의 형태로 간주되는 의복, 음악, 행동과 같은 상징적 소비 행동을 통해 고유한 정체성을 표현하고 주류 가치를 비판한다. 버밍엄 학파의 연구는 이러한 저항 행동이 단순히 주의 전환과 오락을 위한 것이 아니라 사회 구조 그리고 문화 권력관계와 밀접하게 연결되어 있다고 강조한다. 디지털 시대에 하위문화는 가상의 활동과 집단적 표현을 위해 온라인 플랫폼을 활용하며, 저항의 초점은 광범위한 사회 문제에서 개인, 가족 수준의 대립으로 점차 전환되고 있다. 특히 AIGC 기술의 발전은 하위문화의 창의적 참여와 문화 제품 생산을 더욱 촉진하여 의식적 저항의 변화를 주도하고 공적 해석의 권위에 도전하고 있다. 본 연구는 AIGC 기술의 맥락에서 하위문화의 변화를 탐구하는 것을 목표로, 디지털 시대의 하위문화의 진화에 대한 새로운 관점을 제시하고, 문화 연구 분야에 기여하고자 한다. Sub-cultures express their unique identities and critique mainstream values through symbolic consumption behaviors such as clothing, music, and actions, which are seen as forms of ritualistic resistance and class struggle. Research from the Birmingham School emphasizes that these resistance behaviors are not merely for diversion and entertainment but are closely linked to social structures and cultural power relations. In the digital age, sub-cultures utilize online platforms for virtual revelry and collective expression, with the focus of resistance gradually shifting from broad societal issues to confrontations at the personal and familial levels. The development of AIGC technology further promotes the creative participation of sub-cultures and the production of cultural products, driving changes in the forms of ritualistic resistance and challenging the authority of official interpretations. This study aims to explore the changes in sub-cultures against the backdrop of AIGC technology, offering a new perspective on the evolution of sub-cultures in the digital age and contributing to the field of cultural studies.
