20세기 실천신학의 3가지 유형에 대한 비교 연구

실천신학의 역사에 대한 비판적 연구는 오늘의 실천신학을 성찰하고 미래적 방향을 모색하는데 있어서 필수적인 작업이다. 본 연구는 개신교 자유주의 신학 유형(코우, 니버갈, 보이슨), 신종교개혁 신학 유형(투르나이젠, 스마트), 비판적 프락시스 유형(쉬파니, 문동환, 밀러-맥리모어) 등 20세기에 전개된 3가지 유형의 실천신학에 대한 비교 연구이다. 먼저, 기독교교육학과 목회상담학을 중심으로 위의 3가지 유형에 속하는 실천신학자들을 선별하여 이들의 중심 사상을 살펴보았다. 그리고 이를 토대로 실천신학이 근대성이라는 시대적 도전에 어떻게 응답했으며, 어떠한 신학과 대화를 시도했으며, 어떠한 학제적 대화에 참여했으며, 또한 기독교적 실천은 어떻게 이해하였는가에 초점을 맞추어 비판적 평가를 시도하였다. Studying the history of practical theology is an essential task that enables a critical reflection on current practical theology and constructively illuminates its direction for the future. This essay attempts to engage in a comparative study of three models of practical theology in the 20th century, namely the Protestant liberal theology model, the neoreformation theology model, and the critical praxis model. This essay first explores the central ideas of practical theologians who belong to the three models, focusing on Christian education and pastoral counseling. Based on this exploration, this essay then critically evaluates the three models in accordance to the following four themes: how practical theology has 1) responded to the challenges of modernity, 2) engaged in dialogue with different types of theology, 3) participated in interdisciplinary dialogue, and 4) understood Christian practice.
