Summary:Recently, the construction industry is implementing various researches and policies aimed at creating new added value by actively utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as design automation and artificial intelligence for efficiency in the existing construction industry. Therefore, in this study, basic research for design automation was conducted by analyzing the design conditions for design automation centering on small-scale neighborhood living facilities and verifying the optimal arrangement of units and alternatives to lay the groundwork for generating related logic. Through the above process, it was possible to find a reasonable alternative to the design automation logic by comparing the result of the planning design with the actual plan. However, it is expected that this study can be used in a positive way in decision-making at the design planning stage because it is difficult to cope with external factors and additional requirements of the owner.
