반려동물 의인화와 반려동물과의 상호작용이 회복탄력성에 미치는 영향

본 연구의 목적은 반려동물을 의인화하는 것이 반려동물과의 상호작용을 매개로 회복탄력성에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 데 있다. 이를 위해서 전국에 반려동물을 양육하고 있는 20세 이상의 성인 남녀 351명을 대상으로 연구를 실시하였으며 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 반려동물 보호자의 반려동물 의인화, 반려동물과의 상호작용 그리고 회복탄력성의 수준차이를 알아본 결과는 반려동물 의인화, 상호작용, 회복탄력성 모두에서 차이가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 반려동물 의인화와 상호작용, 회복탄력성 세 변인 모두 유의미한 정적 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 반려동물 의인화와 회복탄력성과의 관계에서 상호작용은 부분매개 효과를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 반려동물에 대한 의인화가 반려동물과의 상호작용에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라, 반려동물과의 상호작용을 매개로 회복탄력성에 영향을 미친다는 것을 실증분석을 통해 제시했다는 점에서 의미를 가진다. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of anthropomorphising pets on resilience through interactions with pets. To this end, a nationally representative sample of 351 adult men and women aged 20 years and older who own a pet was surveyed, and the findings centred on the following research questions. First, we examined differences in pet owners' levels of pet anthropomorphism, interaction with their pets, and resilience, and found that there were differences in pet anthropomorphism, interaction, and resilience. Second, all three variables, pet anthropomorphism, interaction, and resilience, were found to be significantly positively correlated. Third, interaction was found to have a partial mediating effect on the relationship between pet personification and resilience. The findings of this study are significant in that they provide empirical evidence that pet anthropomorphism not only positively influences interaction with pets, but also influences resilience through interaction with pets.
