Summary:The PV optimizer compensates the power loss due to the mismatch of PV panels. The solar power efficiency of PV panels can be increased by using the PV optimizer. Several topology can be considered for PV optimizer but the N-Buck converter is chosen for specific environment. And in this paper, it is considered for N-Buck converter design for PV optimizer. The PV optimizer is used as a power compensator between the PV module and the inverter. Each element of the N-Buck converter circuit is designed and selected by the analyzed formulas and the design conditions. As a result, we can confirm that the design is optimized through PSIM simulation and experiments. KCI Citation Count: 0
