Summary:Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare of the factors related to the sugary drinks consumption in obesity and non-obesity group of Korean adolescents. Methods: Data were obtained from the Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey in 2016. Variables were composed of general characteristics, health status, and health behaviors. Data of 63,741 adolescents was analyzed using SAS version 9.4 program with descriptive statistics and Rao-Scott chi-squared test. All data were analyzed by considering both sample weights and the complex sample design of the survey. Results: In both obesity and non-obesity group, the factors related to the consumption of sugary drinks were male student, weekly pocket money, health economic status, oral health problem, fast food intake, internet using time. And only in non-obesity group, type of school, academic achievement, perceived stress, depressive symptom, current smoking and alcohol drinking, and physical activity were related to the frequent consumption of sugary drinks.
