화단용 진황색 아시아틱나리 ‘사비’ 육성

‘사비’는 원예연구소에서 1998년에 육성된 분화 및 화단용 아시아틱나리 품종이다. 1992년 초장이 짧은 화단용 품종을 육성하기 위하여 황색의 ‘Sunray’와 오렌지색 ‘Foxtrot’를 주두수분에 의해 획득한 실생 중에서 화색이 황색으로 선명하고 화형이 둥글고 안정적이며 초장이 짧은 ‘A94-36’ 계통을 1994년에 선발하였다. 이 계통의 특성검정은 조직배양에 의한 대량증식 및 순화를 통해 1, 2 및 3차까지 1995년부터 1997년까지 수행되었다. 1998년은 1년간 ‘원교C1-6호’로 수원, 익산 2지역에서 지역적응시험을 거쳐 최종적으로 화단용 아시아틱나리로 선발하여 ‘사비’라 명명하였다. 개화기는 6월 상순이고, 꽃에는 향기가 없으며, 화색은 진한황색이다. 꽃의 크기는 10.3cm로 중륜이고, 꽃잎에는 반점이 전혀 없다. 또한 내한성이 강하여 겨울철 노지월동이 가능하다. A new Asiatic lily (Lilium spp.) cultivar ‘Sabi’ was released in 1998. The cross was made in 1992 between Asiatic lily ‘Sunray’, spotted and yellow color, and ‘Foxtrot’, unspotted orange color for bedding lily flower with no spot. ‘A94-36’ lily line was selected in 1994. Multiplication of bulb, and characteristic tests were conducted in Suwon from 1995 to 1997. The evaluation of regional characteristics as ‘Wonkyo C1-6’ was investigated at 1998 in Suwon and Iksan. The flowering time of ‘Sabi’ is the beginning of June. It has no fragrance and deep yellow color (RHS, Y13B). The width of flower is 13 cm. The length and width of outer petal is 6.9 cm and 2.4 cm, respectively. There is no spot in petal. Also, the plant height of ‘Sabi’ is about 30.1 cm.
