Summary:Contingent workers are widely used by organizations for various reasons especially for reason of providing cost savings through labor flexibility. Since organizations have often advocated using contingent workforce because of its helpful benefits, it would be helpful to examine if they actually do provide positive benefits to organizations. This paper examines organizational performance in terms of organizational effectiveness in using contingent workforce.
