해방기 이용악 시 연구

본 논문은 이용악의 중대한 시적 변화과정의 중간에 있는 해방기 시편들을 살펴보았다. 1930년대 후반의 시편들과 한국전쟁 후 시편들 사이에 있는 이 시편들을 그동안 잘 알려지지 않은 해방기의 이용악의 행적과 같이 살핌으로써 시적 의미와 함께 변화과정을 고찰한 것이다. 타의에 의한 일제 말의 절필과 칩거는 역설적으로 이용악이 해방기 현실 상황에 적극적으로 참여하는 계기를 만들어 준 것으로 보이며 이것이 1930년대 후반의 시적인 태도와는 다른 해방기 시적 태도의 기저에 작동하고 있음을 파악할 수 있었다. 해방 후 계속되는 혼돈과 심화되는 사회의 모순은 이용악이 좌익계열 문학단체와 신문에 몸을 담는 데 그치지 않고 직접 사회주의 운동에 참여하게 하는 동인이 되고 있었다. 특히 1946년 9월의 철도노동자들에 의해 촉발된 9월 총파업과 10월 대구에서 전국으로 확산된 ‘10월 항쟁’은 그의 시세계가 보다 거침없이 현실 속으로 뛰어들어 발언하는 계기가 되었을 뿐만 아니라 남로당 가입으로 이어지고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 연구는 그동안 본격적인 연구의 대상으로 주목받지 못해 온 해방기의 이용악 시편들에 대한 본격적인 연구라는 의미를 갖는다. 이용악의 시적 성취의 정점으로 주목받는 1930년대 후반의 시편들과 이념을 선택한 이후 북에서 발표한 시편들의 이어주는 지점에 대한 연구를 통해 이용악의 시세계와 생애를 총체적으로 조명하고 온전히 이해하는 계기가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. This thesis is to examine the poetries of the liberation period which were in the middle of Lee Yong Ak’s important poetic process of changes. We will study these poetries-in between poetries from the late 30’s and after the Korean War-with Lee Yong Ak’s not-so-well-known whereabouts, to find out the poetic meaning and process of change. His last writing and living in seclusion was against his will and this leaded him to take part actively in the condition of reality in the liberation period. From that we can understand that this acted as the base of his poetic attitude in the liberation period which was different from that of the late 30’s. Because of the continuous chaos and intensifying contradictions of the society after Liberation, Lee Yong Ak did not only take part in the Left Wing affiliated newspaper and literature group but also directly participated in the socialism movement. Especially the September’s general strike in 1946 triggered by the railroad laborers and the October resistance spreaded from Daegu to all over the country, provided him a chance to rush into the real world so his poetic world could speak out more freely and connected to his joining South Korea Labor Party. This study has it’s meaning of being the earnest research of Lee Yong Ak’s poetries in the liberation period, which were not treated as a proper subject. Through the study of the linking point of poetries in the late 30’s known as Lee Yong Ak’s peak of poetic achievement, and poetries published in the North after he chose his ideology, it is expected to become a chance to illuminate and understand Lee Yong Ak’s poetic world and life altogether.
