선교는 삶에 바탕을 두어야 하다. 삶에 기초한 선포가 힘이 있고 설득력을 갖는다. 선교는 자신이 속한 지역에서 시작해야 한다. 이것을 위해서 교회는 지역사회에 먼저 그 존재가 인정받아야 한다. 선교는 일방적 행위가 아니라 상호성의 원리에서 진행되어야 한다. 현실적으로 선교는 다양한 동기에서 진행되나 그 동기의순수성을 회복해야 한다. 준더마이어 교수의 선교학을 연구하는 것은 선교가 19세기 서구 중심의 선교로부터 전 세계의 선교로 전환하는 과정에서 직면한 문제들에 대하여 다양한 신학적 관점과 깊이 있는 신학적 통찰, 그리고 선교현장의 실천에 대한 명쾌한 선교학적 논의가 오늘의 선교 패러다임과 과제를 잘 이해할 수 있는 관점을 제공하기 때문이다. 선교에서 진정한 만남이 실현되고 협력이 실천되려면 서로의 차이를 인정하고 존중하는 마음을 가져야 한다. 무엇보다 준더마이어 교수가 제시한 잔치로서의 선교, 한국 초대 교회에서 경험한 축제와 같은 선교를 회복해야 하겠다. 한국 교회는 무한경쟁 사회 속에서 비인간화를 경험하고 있는 오늘의 시대에 하나님 나라의 잔치를, 기쁨과 희망을 미리 맛보는 축제이어야 한다. 준더마이어 교수는 그의 저서와 논문에서 현대선교에 관해 많은 주제들을 연구하여 발표하였으나, 본고에서는 제한된 지면상 선교의 핵심주제인 선교이해, 선교와 교회, 문화, 종교의 네 가지 관점에 논의를 집중하고 그것이 한국교회 선교에전달하는 의미가 무엇인가를 찾아보고자 한다. Mission should be conducted on the basis of human life. The only proclamation that is based on such a life can have strength and persuasive power. Mission must make a start from one’s own local area. For the sake good of this, the significance of church must be acknowledged in its community. Because mission must be conducted not in a one way but in the principle of interrelation between church and its community. Mission is being carried out with various motives of mission, however, its original purity must be restored. The reason why I am studying the missiology of Sunderemeier is that his missiology analyzes issues of current mission, theological viewpoints and insights regarding these issues, and the practicality of them in mission field and missiological theories situations in the way of interdisciplinary and integrated argument in it. If a true encounter intends to come true and mutual cooperation intends to be practiced in missions, people must acknowledge and respect each difference. Most importantly,mission as a festival which Sunderemeier has suggested, that is to say, the very mission like the festival which was experienced in early Korean church must be restored. Even in today’s age when dehumanization is rampant in this constantly competitive society,Korean mission must be the festival of God’s Kingdom, the festival to be enjoying and hoping in advance. Sunderemeier has already researched and presented various issues regarding contemporary mission in his thesis and writing. In this study, for lack of space, as the key issues of missions, the understanding of mission, mission and church, culture, four perspectives of religion will be focused in four respective viewpoints and what meaning such discussions have toward Korean church mission will be treated.
