EFFECT OF CALCINATION TEMPERATURE ON THE PARTICLE SIZES OF ZINC FERRITE PREPARED BY A COMBINATION OF SOL-GEL AUTO COMBUSTION AND ULTRASONIC IRRADIATION TECHNIQUES

ZnFe2O4 nanocrystallites were synthesised by a combination of sol-gel auto combustion and ultrasonic irradiation techniques. The influence of the calcination temperature on the particle size was investigated. The particles were calcined at temperatures from 400 to 900 C. The studies were carried out...

Summary:ZnFe2O4 nanocrystallites were synthesised by a combination of sol-gel auto combustion and ultrasonic irradiation techniques. The influence of the calcination temperature on the particle size was investigated. The particles were calcined at temperatures from 400 to 900 C. The studies were carried out using XRD and SEM. The gradual increase in the crystallite size with the calcination temperature indicated the formation of larger particles by calcination.
