Summary:In the angiography performed for a clinical diagnosis, a unique case of "agenesis of the celiac trunk" was encountered in a 42-year-old Turkish male. There was instead an artery which arose from the aorta at the level of the first lumbar vertebra, and supplied blood to the territory of both the celiac and superior mesenteric arteries by giving rise to the splenic, the jejunal, the ileal, the pancreaticoduodenal, the proper hepatic and the left gastric arteries, consecutively.
